ABSTRACT
Native chicken has a excellent prospect for cultiveted, because the demand is increasing in the market. In reality, many chicken do not produce a uniform productivity that are bred from Day Old Chick (DOC), beside that the feed which is given also does not have a standard nutrition. The purpose of this research to now the effect of giving energy and protein that different in ration for chicken performance and add the data on level of energy and protein needs to the chicken aged 8-12 weeks. The research is designed according to the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) (Gaspersz, 1991) which consist of 4 treatments and 5 replicates that A (Protein 14% and EM 2600 Kkal), B (Protein 16% and EM 2600 Kkal), C (Protein 16% and EM 2800 Kkal) and D (Protein 18% and EM 2800 Kkal). The analysis of variance show that the treatment has not a significant effect (P>0,05) for feed consumption, weight gain, feed conversion and revenue. It can be concluded that the use of energy and protein which different in the ration on the each treatment has not significant effect for feed consumption, weight gain, feed conversion to the native chicken aged 8-12 weeks and based income calculation shows that the maintenance of the age native chicken of 2-8 weeks is more profitable maintenance until the aged of 8-12 weeks.
